How to Properly Install Bird Spike

Bird spike (also called pigeon spike or seagull spike),It is a bird control product that prevents birds from landing on property or building surfaces, and also the most economical and effective bird repellent product.

How to properly install bird spikes? Protect your property:

    Step1 Measuring the Install surface:

Measure the area where bird spikes need to be installed. Measure both horizontally and vertically to calculate the required installation area.

The standard widths for bird spikes are approximately 3 inches, 5 inches, and 8 inches.

    Step2 Clean the installation area:

Most bird control work requires site cleaning. You need to first remove bird droppings, nesting materials, food scraps, etc., and disinfect the area (bird droppings and bird carcasses contain various bacteria) before installing bird spikes.

    Step3 Determine installation method:

1.Concrete surface:When securing spikes to a concrete surface, you’ll need outdoor construction-grade adhesive. You can also use bolts and nuts to secure them, with adhesive to help hold them in place.

2.Wooden surface: When attaching spikes to a wooden surface, you will need to use screws to secure them.

3.Pipes and conduits: When you need to install bird spikes on pipes or conduits, you can use cable ties to secure the spikes in place. Choose between stainless steel banding or nylon/rubber banding depending on whether it’s an outdoor or indoor environment.

    Step4 Install pigeon spikes:

If you are installing a row of spikes, you need to start from the edge and choose fasteners suitable for installing spikes or use adhesive to attach them (Note: the surface of the spike base should be clean and dry).
